group estate planning

A great plan is within reach.

Stuck wondering whether you should set up your trust online or hire an attorney? Wondering whether the price difference between online services or an attorney matter?

Flourish Trusts & Estates' group planning process, where small groups of homeowners in a similar family situation learn the options together and make key decisions side by side. Then our attorney, Ali Conley, meets with you one-on-one to refine your plan before anything is drafted or signed. Why a group

Better questions, better decisions, better price.

Most people don't know what to ask when setting up their estate plan.

In our group workshops, our attorney will guide you through key decisions and educate you on the way. In the group setting, you'll hear the questions others raise and have a chance to consider options you may not have otherwise.

Best of all, you get your plan in place at an amazing price!

Matched to your life

Everyone in your group shares a similar financial and family situation, so each discussion stays relevant to you.

Guided, not left alone

Our attorney, Ali Conley, educates you on the basics of your plan, and leads the group through the choices that matter for people like you.

A price that won't break you

Combining clients into groups for education and design saves our attorney time. Group planning pricing is 50% less than our individual planning pricing.

how it works

Four steps from first question to signed plan.

  1. Reserve your spot

Tell us about your family and goals. We'll make sure you're in a group that fits.

  2. Attend the workshop

The workshops are 1.5 hours long. You'll learn about your options and make your core decisions with your group.

  3. One-on-one meeting

Attend your review session with our attorney. Choose whether you want to meet online or our office. Spend up to 1 hour with our attorney and finalize your plan.

  4. Signing meeting

Your documents are drafted from the final design you approved during your one-on-one meeting. At your signing meeting, you'll sign all your planning documents and your home is retitled to your trust. You'll also receive guidance on how to handle your other assets.

FAQS

What people ask first.

1. Will others see my finances?

No. All information we gather about you will be kept within your secure client portal and will not be shared with others. We are bound by the same attorney-client confidentiality rules for our group participants and our traditional clients. During the group workshop we will not discuss personal details, only general concepts and options.

2. What if my situation doesn't fit the group?

Our current groups are for married parents who have all their children in common and for single parents. Every member of the group owns a home and has a net worth under $1.5 million. In the future, we hope to offer groups for blended families.

The groups are designed for basic trust-based planning. If you wish to create a special needs trust or an asset protection trust, have a net worth over $1.5 million, or have unusual assets or partnership business interests, you will need to contact us about our traditional planning process.

3. Do I have to decide everything during the group workshop?

No. You will have the opportunity to make your decisions during the group workshop. However, your decision can be changed during the one-on-one meeting with our attorney. All decisions must be made by the close of the one-to-one meeting to avoid incurring additional fees. We will begin drafting your documents only after you've approved your decisions during the one-to-one meeting.

4. How is this different from traditional planning?

The traditional planning process is all one-on-one. Traditional planning clients tend to have particular needs or larger estates that need more detailed planning. The traditional process typically takes longer and is more expensive. We strive to provide all clients with the education they need to understand their plan, whether the group process or the traditional process.

5. Can I add my business or another property to my trust?

Yes, as an add-on. We can assign a business interest that you, or you and your spouse, fully own to your trust, and retitle additional real estate properties. Each add-on is an additional fee.
